Submission reviewing process:

All formal submissions are accepted. Reviewing ensures that everyone's work is carefully studied and discussed by workshop attendees. Reviewing also lets us make a logical schedule for presentations we gather in Chicago.

Everyone who makes a submission has, by default, agreed to act as a reviewer as well (my, my, how very kind of you!).

After you send in your submission:
  • You will receive two (2) submissions to review anonymously, each in a separate e-mail from your MidGraph hosts.
  • Each of these e-mails contains one (anonymous) submission from another MidGraph attendee, and a blank text-only review form similar to the ones used for SIGGRAPH. Please answer these as carefully, generously, and helpfully as you can. Give very specific suggestions on ways to improve the idea, the writing, the figures, the organization, etc. What would make this paper irresistible to SIGGRAPH reviewers?

Please promptly return your reviews by e-mail reply; we then forward these anonymous reviews to authors to help them revise/prepare their presentations (double-blind reviewing). At the Workshop, everyone should bring at least one good thought-provoking discussion question for each of the two submissions you reviewed. This should encourage lively and helpful discussions.

Bear in mind that although the idea of the workshop is to get some early feedback for SIGGRAPH papers, the submissions do not have to be targeted to SIGGRAPH at all - any paper-in-progress is fine.

We hope to hear from you soon!
